Long portraits....

I found these videos on vimeo by Clayton Cubitt, he produces what he calls 'long portraits'. Each video is of a person sat for 5 minutes in time. He's capturing their portrait, but it's a new level of portraiture.

I really like this idea and it could be a good idea for my own self-portraiture.... it's a simple idea but I feel it works really well. It's also interesting to see how people react to the camera, there's this awkward air about some of the 'portraits', as not many people like cameras. [Fidgeting, lip biting, eyes moving , trying not to smile etc, are all signs of nerves or being uncomfortable.]
